The Fieldsleeper 1 is the large storage-space wonder! The layout is identical to the Explorer 2, but with the addition of a vertical “garage”. The kitchen and shower are spacious, as is the case in all of our models. As well as in the kitchen, there are large drawers underneath the bed. Once again there is space underneath the bed acting as a storage space for outdoor furniture, etc. In addition, there is a vertical “garage” with space for 2 to 3 bicycles. If required, we can modify the garage to enable transportation of a scooter. The space above the bicycle garage is utilised as a spacious clothing cupboard, which is accessible from the bed. This is the main difference from the Explorer 2: in this model, there are no clothing cupboards suspended above the bed. The seat on the right accommodates a drawer. When the seating area is converted into a single bed, this Fieldsleeper offers sleeping accommodation for 3 people.

All of our models can be fitted with a towing hook, with a towing capacity of 2,000kg to 2,800 kg. (4,000 to 6,000 lbs)
All of our models can be fitted with a two-person seat at the front of the cabin, which means that three people can travel in the cabin.

Construction

  • Sandwich panel walls: inside panel of WBP glued mahogany plywood, outside of polyester, with 22-mm XPS foam insulation in between: total wall thickness 30 mm. The mahogany outside walls are a beautiful option.
  • Headroom 195 cm (app. 76")
  • All-around, aluminium sill-finishing strip
  • Insulated roof with polyester gel coat on the outside and solid wood tongue-and-groove planking on the inside
  • Edge of the roof has a rain gutter and a system for attaching a canopy or awning, if required
  • Roof insulation thickness 50 mm
  • Floor insulation thickness 50 mm
