TONKE® EXPLORER 2

In terms of its external dimensions, the Explorer 2 is just as compact as the Explorer 1, but has a completely different layout. This model is popular amongst people who want comfort, but who do not specifically wish to take their bicycles on holiday with them. The advantages are that there is a permanent bed, but the model still has compact external dimensions. This means that the model is very versatile, while it has both a seating area AND a permanent bed. This model would be of interest to people who frequently go on longer trips or for situations where the two travellers have different day and night rhythms. After all, one person can go to bed whilst the other person can read or have a nightcap in the seating area. There are also cupboards positioned above the permanent bed. As is the case in our other models, the kitchen and shower are spacious. As well as in the kitchen, there are also large drawers under the bed. In addition, there is a horizontal “garage”/storage space underneath the bed. This is accessible from outside, and offers space for outdoor furniture, folding bicycles, etc. The seat on the right has a drawer which can be accessed from the side of the side door of the model. This is ideal for storing shoes, etc. In the Explorer 2, the seating area can be converted into a single bed. There are therefore 3 berths in the Explorer 2.

Sandwich panel walls: inside panel of WBP glued mahogany plywood, outside of polyester, with 22-mm XPS foam insulation in between: total wall thickness 30 mm. The mahogany outside walls are a beautiful option.
