The Explorer 1 has been designed especially for the adventurous traveller who enjoys open-air living. It is manoeuvrable and has plenty of storage capacity. The seating area converts into a double bed, which, when the doors are open, gives the option of (almost!) sleeping beneath the stars. The kitchen and shower are located practically, with just as much space as in the other models. There is a vertical “garage” (accessible from the outside) with space for 2 to 3 bicycles. The technical facilities have been built in underneath the garage, which allows good accessibility (for servicing) and optimum weight distribution within the camper. The kitchen has an overhead cupboard and the seats offer plenty of storage space. The wardrobe with hanging space can also be fitted with shelving. The Explorer 1 offers sleeping accommodation for two people.

All of our models can be fitted with a towing hook, with a towing capacity of 2,000kg to 2,800 kg. (4,000 to 6,000 lbs)
All of our models can be fitted with a two-person seat at the front of the cabin, which means that three people can travel in the cabin.

Construction

  • Sandwich panel walls: inside panel of WBP glued mahogany plywood, outside of polyester, with 22-mm XPS foam insulation in between: total wall thickness 30 mm. The mahogany outside walls are a beautiful option.
  • Headroom 195 cm (app. 76")
  • All-around, aluminium sill-finishing strip
  • Insulated roof with polyester gel coat on the outside and solid wood tongue-and-groove planking on the inside
  • Edge of the roof has a rain gutter and a system for attaching a canopy or awning, if required
  • Roof insulation thickness 50 mm
  • Floor insulation thickness 50 mm
  • “Garage”/storage space (not in all models)
  • Steps (free-standing or fixed, depending on the model)
  • A side door and 2 rear doors (“French doors”)
